goodbye 2010.

as it is the last day of 2010 tomorrow i have decided that a deviantart journal would be a good opportunity to reflect and write down my hopes and dreams for 2011.

2010 has been deliciously wild. i have had my camera around my neck every single day and it has been the best year in that respect. some days i was out of breath, drained of energy but doing something i was so passionate about kept me rolling on. there have been the low dips too, of course, but i truly think that the positive moments have outweighed the bad.

whether you support me on deviantart, flickr, facebook, twitter, in real life or anywhere else; i thank you now for making 2010 the best year yet. i hope altogether we can keep building an army of dreams and youth to eventually take over the world. thank you for all the support, love, comments, favourites, laughs and new friendships. you have all been stars to me, so thank you.

my highlights have been everything. celebrating 3 whole years with nathan, stargazing on the grass in summer, swimming in the sea and eating ice cream, bicycle rides at dusk with my camera in the basket, standing on a rooftop shooting over the city, moving into our new home and hanging photos on the bare walls, making new friends and making new memories with the old,  laughing with the family, dancing alongside jónsi and putting feathers in our hair, buying my new camera, having my tears kissed away, decorating the christmas tree and just living.

my camera is now an organ in my body. i can't see the world apart from through the lens. it's obsessive compulsive but it is just my way of capturing the rawness in my life. without it i would be a lost soul in a world full of huge dreams. i have discovered who i am even more and i am thankful for that. i am still a child with a burning fire in my heart and i will nurture it forever.

so i hope 2011 will be even more of a whirlwind to dance in. i don't plan to slow down and i hope it'll be even busier, more fun and crazy as this year. a few new little resolutions for me are:

- stop cracking my knuckles.
- live, love and laugh more and more.
- do some band photography.
- dream bigger.
- embrace every opportunity, even if i'm nervous.
- publish more editorials.
- make a successful photo blog.

and on that note i bid 2010 farewell and i'll be seeing you all next year. keep dreaming, never give up, forever inspire, be inspired and have a great new year too! see you on the other side. [:
